More recently, I've heard that the #RESTRICT act is going to cause an entire generation to lose access to the internet that we know and love because they're not tech savvy enough to figure it out.
Need I remind you that the same was said about us #Millennials and the internet? We turned out okay, mostly anyway.

Regardless of how you feel about TikTok (I personally think it is like most other social media - invasive and bad for data privacy), I do not like the tone of the RESTRICT Act that’s being proposed. This is what happens when an entire nation's legislative body lack critical thinking abilities. The problem is not which country the data is getting sucked up and sent to, it's that it exists in the first place. The solution is privacy laws, not banning apps we don't like and sending people to jail for using them. This is the work of the truly deranged.

Yes, I think we should stop TikTok from gathering personal data and spying on us. But then I think that about Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter, and a long list of others.
