Dan Donnelly’s corpse was dug up by soon after his burial in Feb 1820 & sold to a local surgeon. Donnelly’s supporters found the surgeon & threatened to kill him if he didn’t return the Champion’s remains. The surgeon agreed on condition he was allowed to keep Donnelly’s right arm for study.
