I reckon as far as “amount of banger titles” goes, the GameCube is number one followed closely by the Wii. Just browsed through my retro collection and there’s so much here I’d love to play.

The retroachievements.com integration into #RetroArch on the #MiyooMiniPlus is cool and something I’d love to get into but the online only element to it just puts me off.

I get that it prevents people cheating the achievement unlocks, but I don’t want to feel like "Oh I can't play this game until I get home as I'm trying to 100% the achievements" etc. 😕

Y'know it'd be cool if someone made 4:3 focused gamescope overlays for 16:9 and 16:10 (because Steam Deck) monitors. Stuff like pic related, but it'd be modeled after an old CRT PC monitor, complete with the ability to use scanline filters and stuff.

The kind of stuff that you can put in retroarch, but you can use it for regular PC games instead of just emulators.

I hope someone's made that and it's just a matter of finding it.

I'm ready to turn my old phone, a Galaxy #Note8 with a messed-up display, into the most easy-to-use #RetroGaming device it can be; to pair with my tragically under-utilized 15.6" portable #OLED monitor.

Right now I have the #Dig frontend with all my ROMs loaded, but I can't figure out how to exit games with the controller. I have a really nice #RetroArch configuration on my iPad Mini 6 which I'm about to try and get transferred over.

The #pretendonetwork discord has failed me, so i bring my problem here.
"Everytime i leave the Aroma environment on my #wiiu my Pretendo account says it's been "deleted" and i have to reconnect it. That sucks because some of my applications like #retroarch only work in Tiramisu as far as i know, so it's a pain to constantly have to log in to the same account just to use a program it doesn't apply to. Is there some fix to this i'm missing?"

I'm being a little silly now..

Un amigo viaja a Estados Unidos en agosto, y le voy a pedir que me traiga una mini pc, porque el smart de mi tele es viejo y no anda ni pa atrás y por fuera de eso la tele funciona sin problemas. Mi idea es usarla como media center/consola de emulación, la cuestión es que estuve averiguando, y ningún software con esos fines me convence del todo (Kodi, Jellyfin, etc.)
Mi idea no es tener un servidor con cosas descargadas, solo una interfaz para abrir Retroarch, y los servicios de streaming que uso habitualmente. Si alguno conoce algo que pueda cumplir con esa simple función se lo agradezco.
Pero me parece que voy a morir en un linux normal con KDE plasma, y controlarlo a través de KDE connect como hago con la laptop ahora.

I wish the standalone version of Retroarch supported cloud saves/states. Yes, you can just use a portable version on an SSD like I do, or run it from OneDrive/Dropbox/Google Drive, but then all your drive letters and paths need to match, and it doesn't address the addition hoops required for accessing your game saves/states on android; without relying on something like the OneSync app. #retrogaming #retroarch #gaming
