Next phase of the 2014 #MacMini saga: dipping back into the #debian well but this time with #Trixie.

I got #RetroDeck and #SteamLink running well. I am able to get OG xbox games up and running, but they are not really playable. PS2 and below run like a champ.

Well see how long this all last. My main TV does not play well with this set up. I think it is more of a TV issue than the Mac Mini

If you’re a #SteamDeck user and haven’t tried out RetroDeck, you should give it a try. It’s just had a major update and I really recommend it over EmuDeck. Managed to get #retrodeck running on the #SteamDeck. Very impressive.

So good to hear the #C64 Commando tune again. (A 'banger' as the kids say.) Getting to play a bit of #Amiga Alien Breed, Xenon II, and Speedball was nice. And I couldn't resist a few games of #neogeo Puzzle Bobble. 😊

Ah the memories...

Didn't bother trying #mame. Getting a working ROM set to match the version has always been a pain in the butt whichever platform it's on.

#RetroDeck on the #SteamDeck is really great. So far it plays my custom roms without any issues. Very cool app.

Update on my #SteamDeck #RetroDeck project. 2 controllers confirmed working in #mk8d running in #yuzu in gaming mode on an external screen.I came to terms with the 1280x800 limit of gaming mode. Most of my multiplayer games look good enough and just work. Retrodeck' snes emulator saw the controllers without tweaking. Yuzu needed me to configure the controllers in it's config before running the game. Might try 1080p in desktop mode later if I'm feeling cute.

More progress setting up #RetroDeck on my #SteamDeck. Files in place for #yuzu, #mk8d runs great. The whole experience is really smooth. Tried out some of the other platforms and #ConkersBadFurDay was every bit as funny as I remember. Big shout-out to the #RetroDeck team, really like what they're doing. Next is seeing if I can get external controllers working and trying it on the TV.

Made progress on my #SteamDeck. I configured an external display in game mode and desktop mode. Targeting 1080p on a 4k tv. Game mode seems to force the default resolution of 1280x720 on the external display but desktop mode offers whatever the configured resolution is so using that. #PummelParty worked great at 1080 60fps and detected both controllers I had paired. Less luck with #SonicAllstars. Got #RetroDeck installed, next step is configuring yuzu and getting the files in the right place.

Today's #SundayFunDay project looks like setting up #RetroDeck on my #SteamDeck with the goal of getting 4 person Mario Kart 8 working while docked. Wish me luck, anyone have tips or tricks they can pass on?
