Call me a purist, but Taco Bell's Burrito Supreme circa 1982 was the pinnacle of late-night, fast food cuisine. Though I could make an argument for the 1968 chili dog with onions from (the original) Der Wienerschnitzel.

Tonight, I learned about a Fruit Cocktail Eggnog Pie that was introduced to the world in 1956 via a magazine advertisement for Knox Gelatin (see image).

It is such a weirdly delightful pie. I think I will make it this weekend.
