My GA586HX v2 (with K6-II processor) won't POST. Hopefully this is one of those boards which plays possum if the CMOS battery is flat. Otherwise I'm in for a Not Fun Repair.

A ešte jeden tip pre bláznov, ktorí sa radi hrajú s . Moja mašina má absolútne prestrelenú kapacitu RAM, v tomto prípade 1GB. To je maximum, ktoré dokáže pojmúť bez toho, aby vôbec zlyhala jeho inštalácia (s chybou nedostatku pamäte 🤷‍♂️). Problém nastal po inštalácii. Nevedel som z prostredia Windows spustiť žiaden DOS program. Chyba znela "There is not enough memory available to run this program" 🤦‍♂️ Pomoc pomerne jednoduchá, na je návod: vogons.org/viewtopic.php?p=109

Poznáte skvelý program na prácu s diskami? V poslednej dobe som ho opakovane použil nie len u moderného PC (klonovanie starého SSD na nový), ale aj u , na ktorý som nedávno inštaloval . Tento systém nepredbieha povesť veľmi stabilného OS, a môžem potvrdiť, že toto sedí aj dnes, 25 rokov po jeho vydaní. Spomínaná mi tak zálohou systémovej partície ušetrila kopec nervov, ktoré by inak skončili v kýbli po tom, čo ma komp po nejakej krpe obšťastnil BSOD...

Il y a un vendeur de PC rétro au marché aux puces de St-Michel, qui déménagera de Montréal dans quelques mois !

Ils cherchent à vendre tout leur stock avant de déménager. J'ai écrit un petit article (en anglais) sur certains des articles intéressants que j'ai vus à leur stand. Il est possible qu'ils fassent de l'expédition, mais je ne peux pas parler pour eux.

There is a retro PC seller at the St-Michel Flea Market, that is moving out of Montreal in a few months!

They are looking to sell off all of their inventory before moving, I wrote a short blog post on some of the interesting items I saw at their stand. There could be a chance they do shipping but I can't speak for them.

Пожалуй сразу и начнём. История про сервер мать на 603 сокете.

Гуляю я прекрасным летним деньком по своему default_city.
Центр. Витрина мастерской. Двухпроцессорная зелёная штука. Взгляд, искра.
"Плата для витрины и не продаётся" - сказал голос в голове, но я всё же решил узнать, могу ли приобрести. На удивление, предложили за неё 500р (несколько человек уже интересовались, но узнав какой тут сокет - отказывались).
Попросил проверить мать :) но т.к без доп 8pin питания ничего не заработало, я скинул цену до 250р.
Удачно погулял, скажу я вам :))

По итогам получил мощную основу для сборки 2002г c двумя Xeon 2Ггц, 768мб RDRAM.
Осталось только вытащить со старого сервера подходящий бп и можно заводить.

1986年、 Global（日本の有名なファスナーメーカー）は、独自のPCシステムを作りました： FACE16です。このシステムに関する詳しい情報をネットで探しているのですが、無駄なことでした。

ある日本のブログから写真を見つけたが、ブログのオーナーからの返事はなかった。YKKグローバルからも情報を得ましたが、比較的一般的なものでした（「標準部品...オフィス用」）...。

In 1986, Global (famous Japanese zipper+ maker) created their own PC system: FACE16. I've been trying to find more info on this system online, but to no avail.

I've found photos from one Japanese blog, with no replies from the blog owner. I've also gotten information back from YKK Global, but it was relatively generic ("standard parts... office use")...

I appreciate any info on this, thanks!
