Say, #histodons, is anyone familiar with RetroReveal (RIP), and in particular has anyone tried to recreate it from the underlying open source software?

If you don't know this tool, it uses image processing techniques to produce pseudo-multispectral images from existing photos. Very useful for reading faded or damaged manuscripts.
