I was having an annoying issue with my Super Nintendo, N64, and Dreamcast with RGB over SCART where the TV would switch to 16:9.
Turns out that if there’s a voltage on pin 8 in the 5-8V range, it tells the TV to use 16:9. For some reason, both cables were wired to output 5V here. Weird.
Desoldering the connection fixed my problem! Now the TV correctly defaults to 4:3.

Its been quite the journey to find out. I kown for years its possible to take the pif from one consol and switch between two of them, but its always been a bit janky and not a whole lot of documentation on it.
I learned while reading the install instruction for the #UltraHDMI that it could sync some clock with the #UltraPIF eventualy I managed to find a blogpost on #RetroRGB about it and was possible to buy, but well. Shipping been a challange

Huh... something I'm seeing a dearth of on YouTube are HDMI switcher reviews. As a #RetroGaming enthusiast who needs to use HDMI converters and six consoles from the past (including five #Nintendo ones) that I would like to have hooked up, I hope these will be covered more in the future!
I do see that #RetroRGB has an all-in-one video from July '22, so I'll start there.
