The double broken rib swatch in the petrol colored beiroa yarn dried, and surprise surprise! The blocked gauge on 3.5 mm needles is 16.9 sts and 28.6 rows per 10 cm (4 inches), instead of the approx. 16-16.5 sts I was expecting. So, I went ahead and graded the pattern for the boxy drop-sleeve cardigan. Time to cast on! 😃

#stashdivesaturday I've posted about this gorgeous blue-green aran weight yarn from Retrosaria Beiroa (@retrosariarosapomar) before. It's 100% Portuguese wool yarn, manufactured in Portugal, exclusively from the wool of free grazing Bordaleira Serra da Estrela sheep. I think it will be perfect for this new design, I'm thinking of: a drop shoulder cardigan with basket weave patterning
