Rube Lacy - Mississippi Jailhouse Groan (1928)
Een van mijn favoriete opnames. Bijzonder krachtig door de eenvoud en het gevoel dat het uitstraalt.
Van Rubin "Rube" Lacy (1901-1969) werden in 1927 en 1928 6 opnames gemaakt. Daarvan zijn er slechts 2 bewaard gebleven.
Vier jaar later werd Rube dominee.
