Yet another reason to save reviews as files before entering in the journal submission system:

I had 2 logins for 1 journal, kept on getting "your review is overdue!" notices. Journal fixed the login issue, but the review is .... gone.

I finished reviewing an Ag Engineering journal paper. Hard to estimate time, a lot of it was fighting with the editorial manager (I had two email addresses registered there, no ORCID did not help 😭 ). 7 hours? Thankfully the paper was an easy read.

One of the reasons I'm working on copying all my reviews on amazon now (as much as I hate its labor policies, and Bezos), is because it's the largest discovery platform for authors. Books with reviews get more potential buyer's eyeballs, and discoverability is the biggest hurdle for authors, no matter how they're published.
