Hearing Matthew’s Nativity story on the 4th Sunday of #Advent (#RevisedCommonLectionary Year A) seems premature. BCP has John 1.19-28, the testimony of #JohnTheBaptist which seems preferable. We’re not singing #Christmas carols yet at today’s Sunday Eucharist - or are we?
