Rewatched the Babylon 5 pilot (The Gathering) lately with my wife (and the kids).
It certainly is very 1993, isn't it?

The series only got greenlit later on, so there was a production break in between. Enough time obviously for Earth Alliance hairstyles (or maybe just military regulations) to change. Which makes for an interesting if unintentional piece of realism in the series.

Ich habe von #DS9 früher nur sporadisch ein paar Folgen der ersten Staffel geschaut. Diese Woche habe ich (begleitet vom #podcast #trekamdienstag) mit dem #rewatch begonnen.

Vor allem #Quark fand ich damals ehrlich gesagt ziemlich nervig. Ganz anders heute: heute ist er für mich einer der spannendsten Charaktere (zumindest nach den ersten 10 Episoden).

Nach »Get Out« und »Us« war diese Mini-Serie nach dem wundervollen Novellen-Roman meines Lieblings #MattRuff die dritte Glanzleistung, mit der mich #JordanPeele überraschte — und wer mich in Folge DREIMAL so richtig flasht, hat praktisch Freimiete in meinem Hirn. Und Beispiel dafür, dass #JJAbrams nicht NUR Kack baut.

Now I’ve finished the entirely of the classic series, I’m moving back onto New Who. I watched Night/Day of the Doctor as I want to watch in the Doctor’s personal chronology (8>War).

Next up is the Ninth Doctor, and this ludicrously sized box set of Series 1!
