@anna_lillith unfortunately we're still too attached to #capitalism for that to be an option.

Covid scared the (mostly old) rulers. They thought the virus was coming for them and they allowed reason take the wheel, for once. Not everything everywhere went for the best, but it was a good outcome.

Now they're not in panic anymore. The mad men (mostly men) are back at the wheel.

We have to stop as we did for covid. Shutdown nonessential industry and commerce and end nonessential travel by car and plane. There's no other way to avoid utterly catastrophic outcomes planetwide.
