For I offer this simple but elegant growing in a patch of land at Eunice . It’s clearly exhibiting the various parts of a mushroom, including the cup (or volva) at the base, the stalk (or stipe), the ring (or annulus), and a broad cap (or pileus). This is a picture I took October 23, 2020. I also included a handy illustration of mushroom anatomy courtesy of the Wisconsin Mycological Society.
