I'm fairly confused about a #dkim neutral issue I'm having. It's a record for a survey vendor we are using and they included:

h=SHA256 I tried it at first but got neutral results so I dug into #RFC 6376; and it seems to suggest that h= is only for defining headers that are included in the value. #DNS #infosec #vendorheadaches

#RFC 8659 (#DNS Certification Authority Authorization (CAA) Resource Record) was clearly not written by DNS people :

The wire format diagram in section 4.1 is awful (needed to try to decipher it when those diagrams are usually straightforward)

The whole wire format of this RR is weird imo (you have 'tag length' octet then the tag in ASCII characters then the value without a value length octet. It would have been simplier to register an IANA registry for the flags.) 🤔

Is there a certification or norm or standard or protocol or #RFC or something else describing a light web based on a subset of #html where css and javascript would be excluded ?

Sites following this could be viewed by classical web browser and by "light" browser (knowing only this subset)

@irtf I used to read RFCs at rfc-editor·org because #ietf·org is in an exclusive #walledGarden that blocks Tor users.

Today I wanted to read #RFC2047 but I couldn’t because apparently #rfc-editor·org has joined that same exclusive walled garden.

It’s reckless & irresponsible to restrict access to “open” standards. Please fix your shit. Nothing is worse than the standards org themselves being incompetent about openness & interoperability. This is an embarrassment!
