I was once inspired to merge an image of his most famous painting, The Fairy Fellers Master-Stroke, with a photo of him painting it.

If I were making films (I studied film-making at art school but did not go into it as a career) and had funding, one of my projects would be a biopic of Richard Dadd. I have been fortunate enough to see many of his works in the flesh and his life-story was tragic, brutal and fascinating.
