It feels good to be understood...but does it help?

Awareness and understanding are a great first step. Yes, you want a coach to understand you. Yes with "active listening" discoveries will be made, rapport with the coach will be built and acceptance will be experienced.

Then, a good coach has the courage to offer a reframe of your beliefs, invite you to a new context, challenge your thinking and allow you to feel the conflicts, confusion, and chaos.
