Still experimenting with Lemmy. I finally got Jerboa (#android) working with my instance. Funny how easier the transition is once you find an app that looks like your old Reddit app (RIF: Reddit is Fun). If Lemmy or kbin gets more engagement (a big if) we could see reddit become the next digg.

I used to split my Reddit use between the official app & RiF. Now RiF is dead I'm having to use the official app more & either I've not noticed it before or my god it's just got worse.

Between every post in a sub I follow is an advert followed by a suggested subReddit ("If you like r/cats, why not try r/particlephysics?"). This means my feed is 66% shit I have no interest in.

I've used #RIF app for 99% or more of my Reddit experience, but after today that is sadly coming to an end.

For the last 7-8 years I've been using the free app, but today I purchased the "golden platinum" edition as a thank you to the devs.

Honestly I should've done this from the very beginning, but I'm pretty cheap.
