"Now he lives in the islands, fishes the pilin's
And drinks his green label each day
He's writing his memoirs & losing his hearing
But he don't care what most people say
Through 86 years of perpetual motion
If he likes you he'll smile then he'll say
Jimmy, some of it's magic, some of it's tragic
But I had a good life all the way.....
And he went to Paris looking for answers
To questions....
That bother him so. "
- Jimmy Buffett
One of his best story songs!
"Where it all ends I can't fathom my friends
If I knew I might throw out my anchor
So I cruise along always searchin'
for songs
Not a lawyer, a thief, or a banker."
-Jimmy Buffett

While you’re out there wasting away again in Margaritaville, just remember it’s nobody’s fault. #ripjimmybuffet
Oh, no! The soundtrack of so much of my adventures was #JimmyBuffet. I'm literally shaken.
Years ago in Key West our snorkle boat captain told us he'd be playing that night at his place, Margaritaville, & it wasn't going to be announced. We took blankets & cards early & 4 of us waited as the line grew down the block. Doors opened about 10:30 & we got a table right in front of the stage. Jimmy played past midnight...wow. He'll be so missed. 💔 🎶

“He's somewhere on the ocean now
A place he outta be
With one hand on the starboard rail
He's wavin' back at me” 🎶

Whether you liked his music or not, the man knew how to set a mood and throw a party.
