My version of the #PressedFlowersPullover is off the needles. I made some alterations to the sleeves, making them shorter, and also reducing the number of stitches for the cuff considerably as the way the pattern was written made for a much looser cuff which just doesn't suit my needs. I also went down a needle size for the cuffs. I may have made them a little TOO snug for the overall design, but it will make it much more wearable for me.

Working with one of my current favourite colours - Midnight at the Village Hall. So difficult to capture the intensity and deep shades in this variegated colour, but this got quite close. I'm using it as my main colour in my version of the pattern Pressed Flowers Pullover. My contrast is an orange/red shade, so I won't be missed when I'm wearing it.

That is the dye pots put to bed for a wee while. Between being away for back to back shows and other community commitments the dye pots will have a good rest, and my hands will have time to stop being multi coloured digits for a while.

I've been working with a dyeing technique today which I devised, but which I've not used for a while, and which has fabulous results but oooffft I'd forgotten how much work it was! It slows down the process dramatically meaning I can't dye the same volume in a day as I can with some of my other dyeing methods. This is probably why I've not used this method for a while, but oh my .... the resulting colourways are special.

Took a weaving project off the loom today. It didn't turn out exactly as I had hoped, and I actually changed to plain weave half way through, but the first section was a log cabin weave which was fun to do, but you needed to concentrate! I'm not sure what I'll use the fabric for yet, but it'll be good for something.

Three shades of grey have been added to the Suilven shelf in the shop today, perfect for gradient patterns. Suilven is a mix of non mulesed Merino, silk and yak. It is a 4ply yarn which has marvellous drape and is beautifully light to wear, but warm too. We have (l-r) A Moonless Night, Stormy Skies over the Lighthouse and The Dark Grey Donkey. All up in the shop now.

This shawl is making its way to a new owner today. I hope she gets much enjoyment and use out of it. Woven on a #RigidHeddle loom, using my #Traligill non superwash organic merino (the charcoal grey - aka Assynt Peat) and my Burras singles merino (in various colours), it is as soft as a soft thing, and deliciously squishy. Pattern was from The Wheel, a magazine produced by Ashford.
