Did some more #riscos porting over the weekend. There are provisions for remapping IOMD IRQs in the HAL and Kernel, but they're not used for the IBX100 branch. Super I/O changes need porting, and I think that's why the box is crashing on boot.

Oh. Oops. Need to hack up HdrSrc.hdr.Machine and make Lazarus a HAL build... basically because IOMD is HAL-only at this point and the OS probably isn't going to work in a non-HAL mode.

One of my colleagues sends emails which have a text/plain component that uses bare CR as line endings. Not LF, not CR/LF. Is he using an #Amiga? Maybe a #ClassicMac? Or perhaps #RISCOS? Curious minds want to know.

So this took me 2 months to get around to - but I have preserved a piece of software callled "SPEX+" on archive.org! Use to love messing around with it back on my RiscPC way-back-when, and was sad when I lost that copy. But it turned out well because the copy I preserved seems to have all 10 environment packs included - something I never had!

Abandoned RISC OS software in general seems to be poorly preserved, so I'm glad I was able to contribute as actual copies of SPEX+ will get harder to find! :partyblob: #RetroComputing #AcornComputers #RISCOS

Can't get the network working on my #riscos #pccard. The virtual NIC is present, pcconfig shows the NetLinks menu and i have added the parameters to choose eh1. But all i get is a error when starting !PC and the nic cannot be found in Windows 95. Does anyone has an idea? #acorn #retrocomputing

The #MIST #fpga #RISCOS core seems to be working pretty good nowadays. I still remember times when it refuses to even show a image on my TFT. #retrocomputing

found a perl 5.5 script to do texinfo to stronghelp conversion.
(stronghelp is a RISC OS native hyperlinked help system)

Then I grabbed the raw source for the wget version on RISC OS (1.20.3) and ran the texi docs through the converter.

The results weren't perfect but still better than the html conversion included in the RISC OS package.
