I've asked myself why this show reused the Changelings and the Borg. On one level, the answer is simple. Seasons 1 and 2 tried doing new things w/ Picard, and some fans disliked it, so Season 3 tried to bring back the hits. See also how tried to be fresh, fans disliked it, and brought back . What? I thought the Borg were no longer a threat. I thought Palpatine was dead. Haha.

Without spoiling anything, it appears the Mandalorian is going to try to make Rise of Skywalker a more palatable movie, much the same way Clone Wars made the prequels interesting again. We’ll have to see how that one works out for them. Could be a good thing.

Don't get me wrong. Were there a lot of toxic people throwing out fan theories when the Star Wars Sequels came out? Sure. But the toxic crowd lampooning The Last Jedi were given too much fuel by the lack of unified vision that the creators failed to come with, you know, before they started making movies. (I liked The Last Jedi mostly, but The Rise of Skywalker kind of ruined it for me.)

The biggest issue with Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy is that they started with the idea, "How do we sell more merch?" and built from there. Driven by accountants, not storytelling.

7. Skywalker Saga

Any time I get to spend video game time in the star wars universe I'm happy. And Lego's version is delightfully charming. I liked the big open areas. I enjoyed playing through most of the movies. Even Lego couldn't save lol. And I get to play as Ahsoka while collecting and doing puzzles so 10/10 lol
