The upper Clyde Estuary at Dumbuck Shoals as seen from the Kilpatirck Hills.
The black line running down the middle of the channel is the Lang Bank. Constructed in the 1770s by John Golborne, this feature was instramental in creating a navigable channel up the Clyde meaning ships could finally sail into Glasgow itself and be unloaded on the Broomielaw rather than twenty miles to the west in Port Glasgow.
