I decided to completely redo the #stats #UndergraduateCourse I teach and make it completely in the #Rlanguage. Some colleagues warned me that it would be difficult and that students likely would not respond positively. Granted we're only 4 weeks in, but I have to say that I am beyond impressed with the level of engagement and conceptual grasp that the students are showing so far. Really glad I went out on a limb and taught the course that I wanted to teach.

Lol there is a part of the #rlanguage documentation that says people from a c like language background might try to use for loops -- that's in inneficient. I feel really called out.
Also, I was getting a lispy feel and it's totally influenced by lisp. I'm feeling pretty good about it, though I'll probably never use R outside of #adventofcode
Ok, looking at people's #rlanguage solutions now. I'm going to try and grok what this person did:
https://github.com/alex-raw/adventofcode_2022/blob/main/2.R
Really neat looking solutions! My solution definitely reads as someone who has no idea how to use R.
How are risk frequencies coded in R? When are they applied? What functions can be used?

In a lecture for my Data Analytics class, we use R and people get confused by using "." nomenclature of variables. The poor lecturer is getting tired of people saying they don't like it :D
