#RLB: I think ID should be a thing because it would cut down on fake service animals. Bad people always ruin it for the good ones...
#RLB: that clarified what I was confused about in a somewhat heated conversation that took place on here yesterday. I wanted to understand, so rather than join in, I just sat back and read, as I often do. The increasing toxicity on the AudioGames forum helped reinforce this personal policy, although it has always been my style, but the younger me would have at least made a few comments that might have made the situation worse or just made people think I was a grade A idiot.
#RLB: I translated the text and still don't understand the point of the test.
#RLB: That was interesting because as a VoiceOver user, I have known since its inception that WiFi and Bluetooth toggles in Controll Center don't actually turn the radios off. In Controll Center, VoiceOver will say what WiFi network you're connected to or how many devices are connected via Bluetooth. Toggling either one off says "not connected," followed by off. Maybe my brain just naturally grabbed that distinction but maybe a lot of VO users thought they actually got turned off too? Hmmm.
#RLB: Oh please, not another Chinese Screen Reader that those in other countries will struggle to purchase and keep updated.
#RLB: It's this same kind of crap where we expect people to automatically know what something they don't need themselves is meant for. In this case, people don't really know what ALT text is for and if they're not used to writing descriptions, aren't going to be good at composing meaningful ones, thus not helping the complaint.
#RLB: This is actually a bad thing to tell people because if they don't know how to use it, they will be unable to use their phone at all without doing a hardware reset since they won't be able to click on anything. #ThinkBeforeYouPost
#RLB: I trusted this enough to update my installed copy of NVDA with this. The Addon store is awesome! I love it!
#RLB: A lot of these complaints are visual, but he says you can't cut and paste files. What? You most definitely can!
#RLB: And to think I wrote the instructions on how to crack it! I was dumb enough at 13 to attach my name to it. Pretty sure that's still floating around somewhere, because, again, this is the Internet. LOL! Ah, life is interesting sometimes. Let's see how terribly this runs. It was never great, although part of that was probably due to the fact I was trying to run it on a machine with 128 MB of RAM and a rather low-end processor.
#RLB: This makes me want to upload my clone recordings I made to Eleven Labs. I hesitate though because not only is it yet another thing to pay for, I do have concerns about it being used years down the line. I feel I should wait until there's some legislation around such things. Remember folks, once you release something on the Internet, it will always be able to be found somewhere by someone.
#RLB: Who at Microsoft thinks it's a good idea to assume what users want. That's a good way to lose long-time customers like me. There is always Mac. It's looking like from what I'm seeing that Sonoma's official release should be a nice step forward. Bet there won't be as many focus jumping issues as iOS. That is sure getting worse and of course more frustrating!
#RLB: My Modified hosts file will save me from this! There are public lists of known Ad/spyware sites that you can copy and paste their contents into your hosts file. The most up-to-date one is apparently Steven Black's Hosts list. https://github.com/StevenBlack/hosts/blob/master/hosts
#RLB: This interests me because yeah, flipping floppy things is hard. Tongs are good for stiffer things, that way you can have greater controll over where the flipped item lands. So that made me wonder, is there also an oven-baked French Toast? Turns out there is! https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/221259/best-oven-baked-french-toast/
#RLB; I read my post to that and I'm like yeah, that's precisely how I feel. I'm to the poin that I'll play literally anything that seems to be accessible because it's such a dead space, so anything that comes along, my brain is like ah, can we really get through this as someone who has OK mental mapping skills but otherwise sucks? LOL
#RLB: So it looks like this is an old recorder too. I sure wish Olympus would make their new recorders with voice guidance.
#RLB: I wasn't having any issues with the other Typing Settings AdOn, but I like that you can change the volume independently if you want.
#RLB: Wow! On this day 17 years ago, I was a month into my attending the Colorado Center for the Blind's Summer Youth program. Crazy that it's been that long.
