I have severe #restlesslegssyndrome or #RLS. I live in #Sydney #Australia. I am having a lot of difficulty finding a specialist who understands this condition, especially one who has knowledge and experience of the phenomenon known as "augmentation", in which the use of dopamine agonists actually worsens the condition. The Mayo Clinic has published the paper below, but it is proving difficult to find a doctor who even pretends to have read it. #chronichealth #fatigue

Good morning, lovely people! I'm so pissed I missed almost the whole of last night's #TheLastDriveIn That was one of my worst night in recent memory. My #rls was out of control and my #plmd actually woke me up multiple times for the first time in years. Oh, yeah, I had long COVID before the concussion happened. I woke up with ideas for autumn sewing but no energy/motivation.

@maloki I get backache if I lay on my back, hip ache on one side, can't sleep on my injured shoulde side, and I'm told its bad for my neck to sleep on my front. #RLS gets worse unless I lie poker straight on my belly so that's how I sleep. But in the morning every way I turn I feel so wonderfully comfortable. I do feel that it must be terrible to find that you have a headache in the day after because you slept in a certain position.

My #RLS is off the charts tonight so I opened the next puzzle. These were all supposed to get me through until the next payday. Oops.

@vlrny @UnCoveredMyths Now I am in less need for straight up physical care and can manage my physio, he drives me everywhere, but I can dress myself now. My #RLS is not too bad, but I need his help in remembering my appointments, and he needs my help to support him in just having some daylight. It's pretty shit atm, he is very down. I need to be able to do housework etc when he just can't do things. I struggle physically with that.
