@XLCChelt That amazing #RLWC 2013 seems a long time ago today. 2013 & 2017 were great compettitions, the problem wasn't adding 2 teams it was making all the groups equal rather than keeping the 2 elite groups with 3 going through & 2 "minnows'" groups with only 1 team qualifying. Dropping it down to 10 is just utter nonsense.

This is worse #InternationalRugbyLeague news though. The highlights of the last #RugbyLeagueWorldCup were Greece & Jamaica. Expanding to 16 teams was a good idea, they just should have kept the Group Stage format the same as 2013 & 2017 with 2 elite groups where 3 teams qualify & 2 "minnows'" groups where only 1 qualifies. That format made some great games in previous #RLWC years.
