Really enjoyed this piece about how using the term "Intellectual Property" causes harm, when trying to think about the problems with very different types of laws, such as patent laws, copyright laws, and trademark laws. The term "Intellectual Property" incorrectly and falsely puts non-economic human problems into an economic perspective.

The NSW eye sight test is a joke.

A big TV a metre in front of you with big letters.

The guy before me has to wear glasses when driving, yet didn't even need to put them on to pass the test.

If you can stand next to a stop sign and see it is a stop sign, you pass.

Doesn't test distance at all. Not a real life test for driving.

If #Python was your favorite #programming language, but you feel like slightly radicalizing towards #RMS mindset, which other languages would you consider as candidates, and why? Their culture shouldn't necessarily be FOSS-extremist, but a big must have would be prominent authors and users of it to not accept jobs from evil corporations for ethical reasons, stay focused entirely on tech aspect (Looking at you, GvR, it's your life, but Dropbox then Microsoft was overkill) + no dramas.

In my old age, I am realizing how right #RMS and #EdwardSnowden are about freedom both in the cyberspace realm and in the real world. Both are brilliant in their own right.

What license are they thinking about releasing under a 'public source license' GPL does not allow them to take away rights from the original GPL license. I am sure @fsf and Mr Stallman #RMS will have plenty to say about this.

They cant take others' work, tweak it and deny others the right to make modifications, and release it.

Did they learn nothing from the #SCO debacle?

After an extensive period of careful consideration, Boo/Linux seems an appropriate way to move forward.
