Formula One launches all-woman feeder series, #F1Academy.

I’m watching a lot more of the feeder series for #F1 and #IndyCar, especially with female drivers. It was hard enough to explain to my son that you have to be rich to go from #karting to #RaceCars; just to have a shot at even having a shot at the #RoadToIndy costs > $50k USD per year. Having to explain that to a daughter, who has the odds stacked even further against her, has to hurt even more.

Unless the feeder series become profitable in their own right, IndyCar will be limited to the kids of 1%-ers, with F1 for the 0.1%-ers. It would also make it easier for more sustainable technology to make their way into these series, too. It would be great if #FormulaE became profitable enough to have its own zero tailpipe emission feeder series, as well.
