#Disability access should come first, then pedestrian safety and comfort, then bicycles, then public #transit, then commercial vehicles, and only after all other needs are addressed should we even begin to think about accommodating private motor vehicles.

This is a 2-stage crossing on the way to my kid's elementary school. Complying with the #walk signal here means a 3-minute crossing, including a substantial wait in an unprotected refuge island.
