@filmfacts oh ja, #robocopy ist ein super Tool, aber unbedingt immer mit größter Vorsicht zu nutzen.
Ich teste das immer erstmal mit Testordnern um sicher zu gehen, das es so funktioniert wie es soll.

I love #robocopy! I got a lot of "permission denied" errors when trying to copy some files with messed up permissions on another volume. Using robocopy's /b parameter, I was able to copy the files regardless of the permissions. Very nice!

I have a confession to make. I was supposed to fix this script about a year ago and automate it. i never did though. I run that script manually when i log on in the morning and then again before i log off at night. it's a ritual at this point. robocopy you are my zen sometimes

I know all the #linux folks will say that #rsync is better, but man, I love #robocopy. It has saved my ass so many times.

So I've given up on using #rsync to backup files from a win10 machine. It seems that it doesn't work, and I've been DDGing hard.

Am now resorting to setting up a #samba share on my #linux box, and using #robocopy to do the backup to that share.
Which is a shame as I'd rather entrust the hard work to linux.

I wonder if there's an online translation from rsync options to robocopy's? :blobthinkingeyes:
Also, anyone got any robocopy tips?
