@ascentale #BikeNite A1: I was offline last night so I'm posting Saturday afternoon from home in #RochMN. It was a good week, I rode 299 miles. I'm looking forward to an Autumn camping trip next month with my brother.

Day 133 #bikestreak
Today I rode my #bicycle on the one segment of the Glacial Drumlin Trail in Wisconsin that I had not ridden before. I tried to ride that segment in June but bailed after a couple flats. New tires this time so I was successful. I still plan to ride it on a #RochMN to Chicago ride, maybe next year.

Day 125 #BikeStreak
I got home after dark and forgot to post this: After taking care of email backlogs and doing trip planning, I finally got out on my #bicycle to lead an evening social ride that ended up at Little Thistle Brewing with its new bridge to the Douglas Trail. We had two newcomers to #RochMN on the ride and us old guys bored them with our ancient computer technology stories (i.e. punched cards and impact printers). I rode home at sunset.

When I go #bikepacking I pack trail food from a local #RochMN supplier, and am very satisfied with their product. Some of my #bicycle friends actually know the owner and got me started there. It's really great to support a small local business even on the trail!

Day 123 #BikeStreak
I had a full schedule today, cleaning house and cooking dinner for 6, for the first time in over 3.5 years that we entertained guests in our home. Normally I would ride very early, but I overslept and had to get down to business first. So I saved my #bicycle ride for after the guests left. It was a quick near sunset ride on the #RochMN city trails. I rode past a free Vanilla Fudge concert down by the riverside.

Day 5 #MSTRAM
Last day; I rode my #bicycle from Long Prairie to Ottertail for 66 miles. It was calm and very foggy to begin, and then it cleared off for awhile. As I neared the end, it began to rain lightly, the only rain during the ride. I had completed my 17th MS TRAM ride. And then we quickly packed up and drove back to #RochMN. I will plan to ride again next year. There are many friends who can no longer ride, so to do it again is a privilege.

Day 116 #BikeStreak
It's a travel day, so I was up before sunrise to get a quick #bicycle ride on the #RochMN city trails. We had 1.5 in of rain in the last 8 weeks and then got 1.5 in in 30 minutes last evening, so we had a foggy misty morning for the first time in awhile. And it was 55F so it is probably the coolest ride I will get for awhile. Tomorrow is day 1 of riding in the MS TRAM, tent camping tonight.

A8: The most recent time I saw a large collection of bikes was at the Little Thistle Brewery in #RochMN just after the city completed the culvert bridge to their property across the drainage ditch that separated them from the Douglas State Trail extension. We waited 5 years for that bridge to get built. #BikeNite

@carolski A4: As a result of 1980's flood control in #RochMN a system of multiuse paths were built along the flood levees and they connect to most of the major parks here, so arriving by walking or bicycling is always an option. I ride to or through several of our best parks almost daily as a result.

Day 114 #BikeStreak
Today I rode my #bicycle up the #RochMN city trails, the Douglas State Trail to Pine Island and added the Roscoe Loop and back for a metric century (62.1 miles). It was another gorgeous day for riding and a lot of folks were riding on the Douglas Trail. Today was a good tune-up for the MS TRAM which starts Monday, as the miles next week are 59, 60, 43, 52 and 63.

At Barlow plaza in #RochMN Talked with a guy on break about my bike. Said he said he knew it was a good kid hauler because he sees me around in it. One of the reasons I try to be a courteous rider, even to cars. Small enough city where people will remember you. #BikeTooter #ebike #radWagon

Day 112 #BikeStreak
I was stuck at home all morning past noon waiting for the city plumbing inspector. Once complete, I did not feel like waiting around longer to go on a #bicycle ride so I took off. It was a bit windy so I kept the ride to only 31 miles, a tour of SW suburban #RochMN . The route I took was a tad hilly, but I need to get more climbs in for my August trip to Vermont. My wife is having car trouble to my Friday adventure will be cancelled.

Day 105 #BikeStreak
Today's planned trip to a trail in Iowa was scrapped when the radar showed extensive showers there. So I took a quick early morning #bicycle ride on #RochMN city trails for 20 miles before the rain came in. It is now raining harder and longer here than it has in about 8 weeks. The farmers will be pleased. We are blessed with having about 90 miles of trails here, most added in the 1980's during the flood control project.

Posting from #RochMN (Rochester Minnesota) and today I rode the LaCrosse River State Trail from LaCrosse Wisconsin to Sparta Wisconsin and back (42 miles) on my Diverge gravel bike (because it is a crushed limestone trail). Lovely day to ride.

Day 100 #bikestreak
Tomorrow should've been 100 as I'm riding a century. But the day before is a leisurely #bicycle ride on the Lacrosse River Trail in Wisconsin, 42 miles. Straight and flat, but nice scenery and connects to the more famous Elroy-Sparta Trail. A gorgeous morning to ride. This helps convince me to try to ride from #rochmn to Chicago next summer, which can be done mostly on trails. I need to start planning.
