I hate my brain. So, I have a coach and they’ve been laying some obvious truth bombs on me that I’ve been avoiding. I am stressed and anxious, and I need to figure out what relieves that stress because I don’t really know. It’s a wild life when you don’t really know what you enjoy apart from distractions. One of the themes that keeps coming up is how often I use music to feel better so they suggested joining a choir. I’ve signed up for a taster session for #RockChoir. It’s not that far from me.

But here’s the brain conundrum. I’ve been wearing #masks in public spaces because there are now zero mitigations anywhere. I very much doubt I can wear a mask and sing. And my brain won’t shut up about it. I’ve cancelled so many things because of #Covid, but the thought of catching it and giving it to my family, who all have underlying conditions but take no precautions anymore, still feels insane. I’ve also had a long viral recovery before, I don’t want #LongCovid. Maybe I should just stay in my rented house forever (because I also can’t afford my own anyway).

The Women Rockin' Harmony Choir Blackpool are looking forward to getting out and about to perform around the Fylde Coast this year.
