In the dim morning light, a bulldozer grinds up the ground which has been untouched for thousands of years, harboring endangered seeds, plants, insects, fungi, a biodiverse ecosystem that is now irretrievably lost.

It's just incredibly sad. And it speaks to the way we handle the entire planet.
