When the first big lockdown hit in March of 2020, it had been about 8 months since my mom had passed away. I knew I needed something to help me during this INSANE time, so I got into rockhounding and jewelry making. My partner and I got to see some super cool places in the Sierra Pelona Mountains and the Mojave, and I used what we found to give new life to old, broken second-hand jewelry.

Hubby and I spent yesterday polishing specimens: some Hampton Butte petrified wood, Dry Creek petrified and agatized wood, a petrified burl, two pieces of Paulina pink limbcasts, and a sweet little nodule with a tiny vug.
