I'm in the Independent today voicing my concern about the planned development of a hotel on the southern slope of the Rock of Cashel. The planned development will directly impact the monument itself, as well as having a terrible visual impact on this iconic monument.

*sigh* Lots of people getting very worked up about the application to build a hotel near the Rock of Cashel. I wonder how many looked at the planning application before they jumped on the outrage wagon? It might be good, it might be bad, but start by looking at the publicly available information (its why it is there). There are plenty of drawings and a photo montage (look under "View Scanned Files") #RockOfCashel

If you are stuck on what to say, you can mention that #RockOfCashel is currently on the UNESCO Tentative World Heritage Site list (as part of the six Royal Sites of Ireland) and this application would destroy any chance of that proceeding
