Roger Vadim's Love on a Pillow (1962) is a psycho-sexual melodrama starring Brigitte Bardot. It deals with freedom versus responsibility, free love versus marriage.
This is Bardot in a more serious complex role (moving away from her early romantic comedies) and she's superb. Great movie.

Futures Vedettes AKA School for Love AKA Sweet Sixteen (1955) is an early Brigitte Bardot romantic melodrama co-written by Roger Vadim. There are a few comic touches but it’s always romance that takes centre stage. It can also be seen as a coming-of-age movie.
The main reason for seeing this movie today is of course Bardot. but it's a pretty good movie.

Roger Vadim's Pretty Maids All in a Row (1971). Written by Gene Roddenberry. Yes, the Star Trek guy. A totally outrageous movie that managed to alienate almost everybody at the time.
As an outrageous and demented black comedy/sex comedy it works in its own delirious way.
A great cast - Rock Hudson, Angie Dickinson, Telly Savalas, Roddy McDowall.

Brigitte Bardot made some decidedly quirky movies that often don’t fit neatly into genre pigeonholes. Initially Roger Vadim's The Night Heaven Fell (1958) seems like it’s going to be a fairly light-hearted romance. It soon takes a much darker turn.
Extremely interesting offbeat movie. Highly recommended.
