Why did the Indian seamers hesitate to bowl stump-to-stump as Aussie bowlers are doing?

Stump to Stump bowling always pays rich dividends, as you can force the batsman to make mistakes. It's effective on flat tracks like the one at the Oval.

Well, the team management could be right in taking Srikar Bharat over Ishan Kishan, since Kishan can be really vulnerable in trying pitches. that said, slightly worries about the exclusion of Ashwin in the XI.

He's had great county stints in England, and he could've been handy in the Oval. And the option of not batting first when, winning the toss, also felt like a bit of let down. But the overcast conditions prevailed, so had to take that decision there, I guess.

In terms of bowling, I guess the pace unit, would play a key role, in making crucial breakthroughs in the Australian batting lineup. Hopefully, Siraj and Shami fires, and Umesh, Shardul and Jadeja is able to support them well.

And in terms of the batting lineup, Kohli, Rahane, and Pujara have to get going, if they are to make inroads with respect to the batting, as others are not much good against the swinging ball. Hopefully, they chip in as well.

With the advent of #ishankishan with his 200 knock in #INDvsBAN series, the place of Shikhar Dhawan in the team, in the future instances looks bleak. Once #RohitSharma𓃵 returns, he alongside Kishan could be considered for opening in the ODI's .
