I ordered the #RokidStation so I can use #SmartTube on the #RokidMax easily

@dashall haha xD
Well actually the priced dropped... I don't know if it's a discount but it's currently USD 399 for the #RokidMax alone
Though you should check to #RokidStation they sell. It's basically a portable video player to connect to the glasses. The Steam Deck is great for watching videos but I think nothing beats #SmartTubeTV
#rokidmax #rokidstation #smarttubetv
Everyone who considers buying #DeckHD for their #SteamDeck should consider buying #RokidMax , #Viture or #Nreal instead
No modding, way more comfortable, 1080p OLED and no it's not VR, it's just an external screen you put on your nose
#deckhd #SteamDeck #rokidmax #viture #nreal
In the end I disabled the touch screen of the #SteamDeck entirely because I exclusively play using the #RokidMax AR glasses. SO much more comfortable :blobfoxheartcute:
My buddy @SomeGadgetGuy and got a nice little surprise for you guys on this beautiful Wednesday. We decided to check about two of our favorite AR glasses. The @rokidglobal #rokidmax
And the @xreal_global #xrealair
Part one here

We have a new video for you guys today featuring @rokidglobal
#rokidstation giving you #android TV on the go. Perfect combo with the #rokidmax #bbtg #AndroidTV https://youtu.be/6zwlEaU6xG8

@dashall so I have some weird news. I normally suffer a bit from dry eyes but it seems the #RokidMax is great against that
When I watch TV my eyes stay still and probably I don't blink enough. But, when I use the glasses, my eyes need to move more and apparently it's helping
I think dry eyes happen when you stare at something and your eyes aren't moving. So… who would have thought. It's actually better for the eyes
The funky thing about "Augmented Reality", we REALLY haven't nailed the basics of putting a computer on someone's face.

Partnering with the folks at Rokid to test drive the new Rokid Station, which is an easy way to pair glasses with a portable Android TV!

@rafaelcaricio @qim the #RokidMax is more expensive, I think the #Viture has more interesting features with the mobile dock and the neckband.
But I'm not sure about the proprietary magnetic connector... the USB-C on the RokidMax sounds more reasonable. But that's really a minor detail
@rafaelcaricio @qim I have the #RokidMax
I use it for hours and I love it. I mostly play games or watch youtube/nebula videos. For movies I prefer to watch with the TV setup I already have that has home cinema and 4K TV
If I was on the go though, I would definitely use my Rokid Max to watch a movie
The 2 main additional features that this one has over #RokidMax are:
1. The dock: extra battery for the Steam Deck (or Switch) + allow charging and using + mirror the screen on 2 USB-C monitors (or glasses)
2. The neckband: if like me you don't have a compatible phone, this is a great alternative for watching videos on Android with SmartTubeTV
Both can be purchased separately. The dock is most likely compatible with any glasses
The big differences between AR glasses such as #NrealAir and #RokidMax VS #VisionPro are:
1. With AR glasses you are really connected with your environment: I can lay down in the sofa, look at the ceiling and see my screen comfortably but I can also watch through the window my garden and interact with my cats
2. Weight: AR glasses are very transportable and lightweight. It's very much like wearing normal glasses but a bit heavier and with a cable. Sometimes I change room and keep wearing them
#NrealAir #rokidmax #visionpro
@mrt181 if you mean #RokidMax definitely not. First: the size of the picture will be a bit smaller than what you are used to but more importantly the resolution (the DPI) will feel very low for you in particular
On the other hand, #VisionPro will probably feel great for you
I forgot to say but don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions about my experience with the #RokidMax (micro OLED AR glasses) or AR/VR in general
I'm not a fan of VR (I don't even have a headset) nor AR. I simply like to have a big portable monitor that does not make my neck hurt
40. It's also nice to vary the places where I can play. It didn't sound like much but it's refreshing to play in the dining room, sitting, on the sofa, near a different window so I can see the garden, etc...
41. The use of contact lenses let me see through the window what is happening and it's really nice to look outside sometimes at the horizon
39. I'm actually using the #RokidMax a lot. It's perfect for when my partner wants to use the TV and I want to watch something else or when he is sleeping and I'm already awake (my home is not well insulated for sound)
The fact that it is a single cable makes it really convenient
38. Apple showing off their new ar/vr headset lol such a blow to Rokid who just started to ship the #RokidMax very recently
It's good to have competition because companies will start developing things for this
Apple's glasses have much higher resolution and support AR properly for Apple so for productivity it looks actually great. The way it straps on the head is probably the best solution in term of comfort
But for today I think I'm doing with productivity work on the #RokidMax. On desktop it makes little to no sense at all
It's more interesting for laptops because of the neck position and screen size, traveling and gaming
