#FilmIsNotDead and neither is my XE anymore!

The #Minolta XE has been out of commission for a few months after the power switch broke off and then I broke it further with some DIY repairs. Now that I got the spare parts and some steadier hands, it's good as near-new and as smooth as butter again!

Taking advantage of that to also showoff a new lens - an MC #Rokkor SI 28mm f/2.5.Mildly radioactive elements but obviously safe enough to receive in the post!

Gotta take a selfie every now and again 😁

No idea what we are going to do with it, but the lots were inexpensive and we decided to purchase one even though there is an HOA. Would love to put a yurt or tiny cabin on it...but the HOA won't currently allow anything that small.

This vintage firetruck is located in someone's yard next to Indiana Route 52 between Lafayette and Lebanon. There is not really a good (and safe) spot to park near it, but after a couple of years of thinking about it I finally stopped to get a few shots.

In addition to sunrises and sunsets, I never tire of photos showing a sandy path to the beach. This particular path leads to the beach near New Jersey's Cape May lighthouse.

The path to the right leads to the beach near the World War II bunker. The path to the left leads to marshy trails around a small lake (or is it a pond?).

OK, we've probably spent enough time at the top of New Jersey's Cape May lighthouse. Let's take a final look before making the trek back down to ground level. We'll grab a look at the beacon on our way. Then we'll peek through one of the small round portholes near the top. And a final look up the stairs completes our journey downwards 😀

Ocean City NJ is our favorite place to just relax. My family often spends the Holidays in OC just hanging out in a condo overlooking the boardwalk and ocean. This year is coooold, but there's no snow...so we bundle up and walk about!

MC Rokkor-PF 58/1.4 Mk2. Ще один поважний японський ветеран, народжений десь в 1972 році, який отримав нове життя завдяки цифровим камерам (особливо бездзеркалкам, з коротким робочим відрізком). Об'єктив купив на аукро, причому приїхав навіть кращий ніж я обрав, дяка продавцеві. А бленду до нього я аж за два роки знайшов аж в Південній Кореї (на весь ebay їх було аж дві). І тепер це один з моїх найулюбленіших об'єктивів ♥

These days I mostly shoot a Sony A7 III camera body. For lenses, I usually reach for a vintage Rokkor lens (often 58mm f/1.2 or 1.4). Sometimes a modern Voigtlander Nokton 40mm f/1.2 (which I'm learning to love but I'm not loving the focal length).

These were all taken with the Minolta MC Rokkor PG 58mm f/1.2 vintage lens.
