Ok. So in the end I stopped using #Vite and moved to #Rollup. For my use case (bundling a library) it is much more flexible and easier to use.

With my scarce knowledge of frontend I can't get rid of #React, but that one is a bit easier to deal with once I have the bundler in place.

I'm a complete noob on frontend development, and I'm struggling to understand something that is happening in a project I'm just setting up ( https://github.com/Coder-Spirit/beautiful-tree ):

- When I run `pnpm run build`, the output contains a lot of code from React, even though I tried to mark it as external.
- I see that the output has "dev-only" code, with conditionals that check for NODE_ENV... not nice.

Is there any way to fix any of those 2 problems?

Would you recommend using vite/rollup as opposed to vue-cli/webpack 5 for an app that is largely used by older mobile phone browsers? The documentation for supporting older browsers is clear but very short and almost seems like it’s not an expected use case.
