The 11th and 12th century Romanesque cloister at the former monastery of Saint Paul de Mausole in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. By the 19th century, the monastery had been converted to an asylum, which took in the shattered Vincent Van Gogh in 1889 and 1890.

Sandwiched between a university archives building and student accommodation (what else!) on Dunaskin Street in Glasgow stands this Romanesque tower. It's all that's left of the old Scotstoun Flour Mill. It closed in 2013, finally ending Partick's many centuries long association with milling.

A window in the abbey church of San Pedro de Siresa, in the north of Spain. Siresa is a small village that is part of Valle de Hecho. The monastery goes back to the 9th century. Never found out what that milky material is. Any ideas?
