Against the background of
- the recent events in Belgorod,
- the even more recent drone attacks on Moscow and
- the ongoing discussions about the of range of fire of western weaponry and ammunition types as well as about the delivery of combat jets
I would to stress once more the conformity of the use of armed force even on the aggressor's territory (within the limits of proportionality) with International law. The right of collective self defense even grants it third parties (e.g. 🇩🇪 or the U.S.) in reply to the request of a nation under attack (e.g.🇺🇦).

From there it is mystery to, why possible or real attacks of 🇺🇦 on 🇷🇺 territory cause such turmoil.

sei an dieser Stelle noch mal auf die #Völkerrecht |skonformität der Anwendung von Waffengewalt auch auf dem Territorium des Aggressors (i.R.d. Verhältnismäßigkeit) hingewiesen. Before we get excited about Putin being put in the dock at the International Criminal Court, lets first remember that some surprising 'good guys' states haven't even ratified the Rome Statute & so don't recognise the court.
Apart from Russia the notables list includes USA, China, Israel, Iran, Indonesia plus others.

So there are plenty of places Putin can go to & not face arrest.

There's an interesting followup of advice by Chris Jenks [3].

However: Jenks seems to deny that the #ICC *is* already investigating [4] this invasion: "the Russia-Ukraine armed conflict may well yield an international criminal tribunal ... one would also expect that the sentences such a tribunal imposed would be comparable to those from the ICTY, the ICTR, and the ICC".

Is Jenks supporting US non-ratification of the #RomeStatute?
