Amerikaanse gitarist en mede-oprichter van #TheStooges.
De man die volgens velen de #punk gitaar en de #punksound heeft uitgevonden.
Op de twee eerste albums speelt hij gitaar, maar op het derde album speelt hij bas, om daarna terug alle gitaar stukken voor zich te nemen.
Hij staat nog steeds gerangschikt als één van de beste gitaristen aller tijden.

IGGY is nihilism personified, every urge, impulse, and thrust fully expressed, no lines to read between. Raw Power beats to hell most records of its kind and I can only imagine the experience of hearing something like this in ‘73 when the concept of “loud” was truly being tested following Altamont’s savage takedown of hippie naïveté. I’m happy to exist on its timeline.
