I think I should use dark green as shading to the thistles instead of the brown.

More 'roses and castles' style, but this time using proper #craftmaster #enamel #paint. Massive difference to using #acrylic. Even good acrylic.
This was just to test out the paint and brushes. I'll maybe do a bucket or something tomorrow rather than just plain dry board like I've done here.

Trying some traditional narrowboat 'rose and castle' stuff. Only have cheap acrylics on paper to practice with, so looks a bit off. Should really be enamels on enamel/wood/metal.
