#Rotherweird has a bit of a dissonance in that whilst people in the town know of security cameras, offshore banking, and motor cars; the action is set somewhere around 2010; and the premise is that the town lives perpetually in the present and is the source of many a modern invention; apparently modernities such as brick construction and electric lights have completely passed them by.

That said, I might buy the next book.
