I am _always_ in awe of how cool it is that EV Nautilus can live stream ocean expeditions on the Internet. I could only dream of this sort of technological feat when I was a child.

Surveying kelp forests via scuba divers has its limitations, however the Seattle Aquarium found just the solution! Using their BlueROV2 and open-source AI programs to conduct benthic surveys along the Olympic Peninsula, they aim to broaden their spatial extent regarding kelp, invertebrates, and fish in the surrounding kelp forests.
