Sicher DARF man das.

Bei mir stellt sich jedoch maximale Unlust auf Werke ein, wenn die Künstler*innen sich als Arschlöcher bis hin zu Straftäter*innen entlarven. Sei es #Rowling, die trans Menschen diskriminiert oder #Lindemann, der mindestens ein krankes Frauenbild hat. Ich hab einfach kein Interesse (mehr) daran, etwas von ihnen zu lesen, zu hören, zu sehen.

I shouldn't be so happy, but there is a new video by ContraPoints ! The topic isn't fun, as she has to cover the vicious narrative of JKR's #transphobic pseudo-martyrdom, but she does it so well, that it remains a pleasure for the mind and the heart!

It's easy to say "you should block #Rowling and fight #Knowles" but the truth is that Rowling's use of rhetoric is part of the problem that people like Knowles use in their positions.

By the time you _have_ a Knowles you are fighting a war on multiple fronts already, whether you know it or not.

If you don't understand how people like #Knowles and people like #Rowling are connected and how the latter empowers and aids the former I don't know what to tell you.

This is a very well argued video essay, not really about #Rowling, but about the weaponization of fear, to move people's focus away from the powerful towards the powerless minorities, and the similarities between previous hate campaigns and previous struggles for human rights and today's hate and struggle. Sorry an alle J. K. #Rowling Hater, in vielen Punkten habt ihr sicherlich Recht, aber mit Harry Potter als #Serie geht für mich ein wirklich unfassbarer traum in Erfüllung. Genau so eine Adaption habe ich mir immer gewünscht, bis jetzt weiß natürlich niemand ob oder wie gut es wird, aber um das in den Sand zu setzen, muss man sich schon außerordentlich viel mühe geben.
Der Hype bei mir ist auf jeden Fall real.

Une collection de créatures fantastiques directement piochées dans diverses mythologies, une trame narrative complètement buggée dont les principaux protagonistes agissent avec si peu de bon sens que ça devient compliqué de mettre leur absence totale de réflexion sur le seul compte de la prépuberté, des référents "assez bons" qui sont au mieux dominants, manipulateurs, instrumentaux et menteurs
(Du moins pire au pire:
Hagrid : je t'introduis à tout un tas d'activités dangereuses et désapprouve vaguement tes mises en danger pas parce que je suis mature et me fais du soucis pour toi mais parce que j'ai peur de ma hierarchie
Mcgonagall: je t'aime plus que tous les autres alors je vais prendre le contre-pied et te punir plus sévèrement que tout le monde
Maugrey : PSYCHOLOGIE DE LA PEUR! ha t'as peur hein ? Tu vas te souvenir, comme ça.
Sirius : je te stalke en te terrifiant pendant un an en ne te prévenant de ma présence que par le biais de cadeaux anonymes "pour te protéger"

- globalement, quand le moto est "je te fais du mal parce que je t'aime / pour ton bien" et que les méchants peuvent se faire passer pour les gentils sans vraiment éveiller de soupçons, il y a un problème. Personnellement j'avais un problème avec le niveau de torture à l'endroit d'un enfant contenu dès les premières pages... D'un livre pour enfants. -

Le tout emballé dans une prose plutôt insipide et saupoudré de ressorts dramatiques distendus (oh, il s'est attaché à ce mec, well, je suppose qu'il va mourir dans 5...4...3...) (D'ailleurs *merci* pour game of thrones hein... Grumpf) avec un soupçon de plagiat (certains scènes ont l'air TRÈS librement inspirées d'autres bouquins, au point qu'on y retrouve des mots issus d'un vocabulaire désuet qui n'ont ressurgi récemment que sous la plume de cet autre auteur...)

Bref, VINGT ANS que j'ai envie de tailler un costard sur mesure à ce sous-produit de tête de gondole sans âme, dont la place est quelque part entre Beigbeder et Dan Brown (j'ai trouvé Dan Brown plus amusant cela dit, même si l'emplacement pour les coupures pub se devinait dans le rythme de la narration), et que je me retiens à cause de sa popularité et de la posture officielle des métiers du livre qui consiste à dire qu'on s'en fout si c'est l'équivalent nutritionnel cérébral d'un rouleau de PQ imbibé au sirop d'érable, ça intéresse les gens à la lecture.

One of my objections to thinking of people like #Rowling as "TERFs" is because they aren't really even… feminists, in a lot of cases.

I don't mean in the sense that "TERFs are neither radical nor feminist," I mean in the sense that "she doesn't subscribe to radfem ideology, but she also doesn't really subscribe to other more modern feminist ideologies either."

Her model is rooted in _at best_ some generic second wave feminism in the abstract, but really not even that in practice.

Besides anything else that's already been said, Mrs. J.K. #Rowling is so far to the right that it is incomprehensible.
