Right, it's time to drag myself out of post-flu sickbed, and vote tactically for the #LibDems in #Royston Meridian ward. They are the main opposition to a Tory whose election leaflets barely mention his party. Now why would that be, I wonder?

We just had the local #LibDems candidate canvas the house. Nice chap. I told him he'd get my tactical vote in the district council election next month. "Normally #Labour?", he asked. "Fuck no!", I replied. "I'd like to vote for a #GreenParty that isn't useless."

We have a "Prince Andrews Close" here in #Royston. Following Mr Windsor's (initial) disgrace, its signs were defaced and then destroyed. For some reason, the council chose to renew them.

I laughed at the headline, and then remembered that I live in #Royston, the high street of which is now all charity shops, barbers, nail bars and tattoo parlours. #BarclaysBank closed recently, leaving Lloyds as the only bank in town. Morrisons supermarket closed several years ago, and the building remains empty and boarded up.

The population of Royston is ~15k. This is #LittleBritain, 2022-stylee.
